One fitting does the job of a ceiling light and a fan. The DC motor runs quietly enough for a bedroom, and reverse mode pushes warm air back down in winter, so it earns its place all year. The light is glare-free (UGR under 19) and the CRI of 97+ means colours in the room look true.

Pick the size by the room. The 96cm suits a bedroom or small living room, the 117cm a larger bedroom or dining room, and the 142cm an open-plan kitchen diner or big living room, up to about 20 square metres.

Blades are ABS with a copper core motor, in plain white or black, or wood and walnut tone finishes. The fan is hardwired, so it is a job for an electrician. Note: the wall switch works only with this fan and is not compatible with other fans.
