A short-arm wall sconce in the language of classic American bathroom and dressing-room lighting — a stepped-medallion backplate, a turned brass arm with bell detail, and a frosted milk-glass dome shade casting soft diffused light. The body is drop-forged from sheet brass for substance and longevity, then plated and finished by hand.
The milk-glass dome diffuses light evenly without glare, ideal for vanity mirrors and grooming spaces. Available in five finishes — Polished Brass, Matte Black, Chrome, Polished Nickel, and White — and in single, double, or triple-head configurations for vanities of every width. Suited to powder rooms, primary bath vanities, hallway pairs, and dressing rooms in traditional, transitional, and Hollywood Regency interiors.

Drop-forged brass & hand-finished plating. The body is forged from sheet brass and finished by hand — minor variation in plating tone is part of the artisanal character. Each milk-glass dome is mouth-blown and may carry subtle shape and wall-thickness differences typical of hand-blown glass.

Installation
- Hardwires to a standard wall junction box — professional installation recommended.
- Stepped-medallion backplate covers most US single-gang boxes; verify before drilling.
- For bathroom vanity use, install at 75–80″ above finished floor (centered above mirror) for the 1-head, or center the 2/3-head bar above the vanity midpoint.
- Fits E14 candelabra-base bulbs — supply your own warm-white LED candle bulbs (one per head).
- Suitable for general bathroom installations away from direct shower spray.
- Clean glass and metal with a soft dry cloth; avoid abrasive cleaners on plated finishes.

How do I pick between 1, 2, and 3 heads? +
For a vanity under 24″ wide, the 1-head (centered above the mirror) works best. For 24–48″ vanities, the 2-head (∅ 14″ bar) — centered above the basin. For 48–72″ double vanities, the 3-head (∅ 18.5″ bar) — or a pair of single-heads flanking each mirror. Confirm scale against your vanity layout.
Is the Chart sconce dimmable? +
Yes, with the right bulb. Each head takes an E14 candelabra-base bulb. Install dimmable LED candle bulbs on a TRIAC wall dimmer and the sconce dims smoothly. Warm white 2700K–3000K is recommended for flattering grooming light.
Can I use it in a bathroom over a shower? +
The Chart is suitable for general bathroom installations away from direct shower spray — for example over a vanity, mirror, or in a powder room. Avoid placing it directly above a shower or tub where steam and water spray make sustained contact. For wet-zone installations, please contact us.
Which finish should I pick? +
Polished Brass suits warm transitional and traditional baths with cream or wood tones. Matte Black anchors modern, marble-and-stone bathrooms. Chrome reads cool and modern; Polished Nickel is warmer than chrome and pairs well with cream marble. White disappears into pale walls for a quieter installation.
Why drop-forged brass instead of cast or spun? +
Drop forging compresses sheet brass under high pressure to produce a denser, stronger body than cast or spun alternatives — better at holding plating long-term and less prone to dents. The trade-off is more weight and higher production cost, which is why drop-forged brass is the standard for premium American bathroom sconces.
