RETURNS & REFUNDS POLICY
Last updated: 21 September 2026
We want you to be happy with your purchase. If you need to return an item, the information below explains our return and refund process.
This policy does not remove or restrict any statutory consumer rights that apply to you.
1. Our 30-Day Return Policy
We offer a 30-day return period for eligible products.
The 30-day period normally begins on the date you receive your product.
Our 30-day return policy is provided in addition to your statutory consumer rights.
2. Your Statutory Cancellation Rights
When you buy eligible goods online, UK consumer law generally gives you the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, without needing to give a reason.
After telling us that you wish to cancel, you generally have a further 14 days to return the goods.
Where you exercise a statutory cancellation right, we will provide the refund required by law, including the cost of standard delivery where applicable.
Refunds will be made using the original payment method.
We may withhold a refund until the goods have been returned or you provide appropriate evidence that they have been sent back, where permitted by law.
3. Our Voluntary 30-Day Returns
For returns made under our voluntary 30-day policy, products should be:
-
unused;
-
undamaged;
-
in their original packaging where reasonably possible; and
-
in a condition suitable for resale.
These conditions do not override any statutory right you may have.
4. Change-of-Mind Returns
If you simply change your mind or no longer want an item, you may return the product where it is eligible under this policy.
For a voluntary change-of-mind return, the customer is responsible for the reasonable cost of return postage.
Where your statutory cancellation rights apply, the statutory rules take precedence over this voluntary policy.
5. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items
If your item arrives:
-
faulty;
-
defective;
-
damaged;
-
materially different from its description; or
-
as the wrong item,
please contact us at comms@marriton.com.
Where a return is required because the product is faulty, damaged or incorrect, Marriton will cover the reasonable return cost.
Depending on the circumstances and your legal rights, we may provide an appropriate remedy such as a replacement, repair, refund or price reduction.
We may request photographs or other reasonable information to help us investigate the issue.
Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
6. Exchanges
We do not normally offer exchanges for a different product or variant.
For example, if you would prefer a different colour or another product because of personal preference, you may return the original item where eligible and place a new order.
This does not affect your statutory rights relating to faulty, damaged or incorrect goods.
7. How to Request a Return
To request a return, email:
Please include:
-
your order number;
-
the product you wish to return;
-
the reason for the return; and
-
photographs where relevant.
We will provide the appropriate return instructions.
Please do not send a return to our business address unless we specifically instruct you to do so.
8. Return Address
Because products may be fulfilled through different fulfilment and logistics arrangements, the appropriate return destination may vary.
We will provide the applicable return address and instructions for your particular order.
9. Return Postage
Change of mind
For voluntary change-of-mind returns, the customer is responsible for reasonable return postage costs.
Faulty, damaged or incorrect items
Where a return is required because the item is faulty, damaged or incorrect, Marriton will cover the reasonable return postage cost.
10. Refunds
Approved refunds will normally be made to the original payment method used for the order.
For statutory cancellations, refunds will be processed within the timeframe required by law.
For voluntary returns, we will generally process the refund after the returned item has been received and checked.
Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to make the refunded amount available.
11. Reduction in Refund Amount
Where permitted by law, we may reduce a refund to reflect a reduction in the value of returned goods caused by handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect the goods.
We will not make deductions that are not permitted by law.
12. Products Excluded From Cancellation Rights
Certain products may be excluded from statutory cancellation rights where a legal exception applies.
This can include certain personalised goods, certain sealed goods that are unsuitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed, and other products covered by statutory exceptions.
Where an exception applies, relevant information will be provided before purchase where reasonably practicable.
13. Unavailable Products
If a product becomes unavailable after you place an order and we cannot reasonably fulfil it, we may cancel the affected product or order.
Where you have already paid, the relevant amount will be refunded to the original payment method.
