A minimalist dome pendant that plugs straight into the wall. Hang it over a bedside, desk, reading chair or kitchen table, route the cable to a socket and switch on, with no electrician and no new ceiling point.
Walnut and green is warm and mid-century; natural wood and white is light and Scandi.
